Howard Barnett - Wedding Photography

Wedding Photographer for Leeds, Harrogate and Ilkley, North and West Yorkshire

Your wedding is a matter of making the right choices, apart from deciding on the right partner, organising what will be one of the biggest days of your life is all about making decisions. From the ceremony venue to the celebration venue, from chair covers to bridesmaid dresses - you have to make hundreds of choices to make your wedding day truly special.

Choosing a photographer to record the events of the day forever, is another huge decision, once the cake has been eaten and the gown put safely away into storage, your wedding photographs will be the one thing that help you remember your wedding day.

It's so important that you choose the right photographer, someone who will capture those memories naturally and informally, mixing unobtrusively with your guests yet effortlessly orchestrating the formal pictures. You need someone with experience and expert knowledge, someone with flair and vision, the right equipment for any eventuality and someone you can trust.

Following a spell training with one of the north's most acclaimed photographers, Howard has photographed hundreds of events in Leeds and Yorkshire, mostly recording Weddings as well as celebrations, commercial commissions and corporate events. He has a Ba Hons in Photography gained at Leeds Metropolitan University and has won professional awards for his work from Nikon and Fuji.

Howard has worked at many of the region's major venues including Weetwood Hall, Rudding Park and Ripley Castle and knows intimately, the grounds and public rooms that will provide the backdrop for your pictures. He's photographed members of the Royal Family and celebrities including Sir Alan Sugar, Trevor MacDonald and the "Cheeky Girls" at the height of their fame.

Technical capabilities and artistic vision aside, a photographer's personality is equally important. "The famous photographer Annie Leibovitz is one of my favourites because she has a way of interacting with people that gets the best out of the photo".

"When choosing a Wedding Photographer, it's essential not only to check the portfolio of your photographer's work but also to meet up and see how you get on". A photographer needs the right personality to work with an audience.

Howard would like to thank Javan Liam of Harrogate for mentoring him in the art of Wedding Photography and Leeds Metropolitan University for his formal photographic education.
